 Job Purpose:



Serves as the director of the CED's Economic
Development Program and day to day management of
the economic development support staff and consultants.
Reports to the President & CEO
 Job Summary:



Responsible for the development and implementation of the
CED's business retention, expansion and recruitment program.
Manage the Will County business assistance program.

 Working
Conditions:


Office environment.  Monday thru Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Required to work overtime hours (BOD meetings, special
events, Village Hall meetings, etc.)  Same-day, local
travel and occasional out-of-town trips.
Compensation:

Essential Job Functions (listing most important first):
 1.


Develop the annual economic development work plan for the CED, including
the setting of specific goals and objectives and preparation of the budget;

 2.

Manages the business development prospect portfolio for the CED;

 3.


Oversees the development and management of the CED business
marketing program.  Manage the web site and data bases used in business
recruitment and retention;
 4.

Administer the Will County Tax Abatement Program.  Manage the Will
County business Assistance Program.
 5.


Serves as director of the Will Economic Network (WEN).  Meet with
municipalities and tour their communities.  Represent CED at events
and trade shows;
 6. Manages the CED's Workforce Development programs;


 Supervises:

Economic Development Coordinator and economic development
contractors and consultants.
