The ComEd service territory covers 11,411 square miles in northern Illinois, stretching from the Wisconsin border to as far south as Pontiac, Ill., and from the Indiana border to the Mississippi River. CMAP
Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning
 

Formed in 2005, CMAP integrates planning for land use and transportation in the seven counties of northeastern Illinois.  The new organization combined the region's two previously separate transportation and land-use planning organizations -- Chicago Area Transportation Study (CATS) and the Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission (NIPC) -- into a single agency.  On September 1, 2006, the CMAP Board issued a strategic report on the agency’s vision, governance, and funding.  Metropolitan Chicago will have an additional 2.8 million residents and 1.8 million jobs by 2040, and CMAP is leading the GO TO 2040 planning campaign to develop and implement strategies for addressing this growth's serious implications on quality of life -- including transportation, housing, economic development, open space, the environment, and natural resources.

Will Kankakee Regional Development Authority 

The Will Kankakee Regional Development Authority was created by action of the Illinois General Assembly and is a general development agency for the counties of Will and Kankakee. It is one of only four active regional development authorities within the State of Illinois.

The Authority's powers enable it to issue taxable or tax-exempt quasi-state guaranteed revenue bonds on behalf of a company for the purpose of developing, constructing, acquiring or improving properties or facilities locating in or expanding within the territory of the Authority.

JRPD
Joliet Regional Port District   

The Joliet Regional Port District has been involved assisting companies develop commercial activities within the 180 square mile in its 5 township jurisdiction since 1957.  The Port District is located at a transportation crossroad of commerce composed with three interstate highway's, I-80, I-55, I-355.   The Des Plaines River/Chicago Ship Canal runs through the center of the District with four major rail lines that hub in Joliet.  The most recent addition to the District's transportation development charter is the acquisition of the Lewis University Airport.  The Joliet Regional Port District assumed ownership of the Lewis University Airport on April 15, 1989.  Since the purchase of the airfield there has been over $30 million dollars invested in the facility in order to meet the needs of corporate aircraft.

Joliet Arsenal Development Authority


The Joliet Arsenal Development Authority was created to facilitate and promote the reuse and transformation of 3,000 acres of land formerly used by the United States government as an ammunition plant and Arsenal.  JADA’s goal is to replace and enhance the economic benefits generated by those former uses with diversified projects and land uses that create new job opportunities and foster new economic development within the area.

TREP
Three Rivers Education Partnership
 

TREP partners education and business, and works closely with the Will County CED and TRMA. Working with over 22 school districts, TREP focuses on the future workforce by infusing business expertise into the classroom to prepare students. 

TREP is assisting the Will County CED in the implementation of the Dream It. Do It. campaign in collaboration with the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and regional coalitions of civic, political, educational and business leaders, including the workforce system, in promoting manufacturing as a potential career path for young people.

Three Rivers Manufacturers’ Association

Established in 1933, serves the needs of local manufacturers in Will and Grundy counties. Comprised of small and large companies, including dozens of national and international corporations, TRMA offers a variety of programs to benefit all member organizations.

The mission of TRMA is to promote manufacturing excellence among its members and improve the general manufacturing climate within the communities we serve.
