2008 CED Board of Directors Elected

December 20, 2007 – The Will County Center for Economic Development unanimously approved the slated Board of Directors for 2008 at its December monthly meeting held yesterday. Officers include Michael W. Hansen (sole owner of Michael W. Hansen, P.C., a Joliet law firm) continuing to serve as Chairman (a position he assumed earlier this year when the former Chairman, Roy Thygesen, resigned after accepting a new career opportunity in another community); Jeffrey Brickman (President & CEO of Provena St. Joseph Medical Center), Vice Chairman; Edward Dollinger (Edward Jones Investments), the most immediate past Chairman; Michael Rittof (President of Founders Bank in Minooka), Secretary / Treasurer; and Robert Gorbold (a litigation partner with Dykema Gossett PLLC) as General Counsel.

Members of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors re-elected due to expiring terms include Jeff Brickman (Provena St. Joseph Medical Center); Larry Randa (The Herald News); Kevin Reardon (retired Joliet banker, currently with Stone Tower, LLC); Arthur Schultz (Mayor of the City of Joliet); Frank Turk, Jr. (Turk Furniture); and Larry Walsh (Will County Executive). Also elected to the Executive Committee was Darren VanDover (Harrah’s Joliet Hotel & Casino), filling the expiring seat held previously by Joe Domenico of Harrah’s.

Board members re-elected are Neil Doyle (CenterPoint Properties); Patti Lambrecht (T.J. Lambrecht Construction); Carmen Morales (Nicor Gas); Mike Morley (Waste Management); Dr. Eugenia Proulx (Joliet Junior College); Rodney Tonelli (Ruettiger, Tonelli & Associates - replacing Terry Ruettiger who is retiring); and Dr. Michael Vinciguerra (University of St. Francis).

Advisory board members approved for re-election are Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant (Regional Superintendent, Will County Regional Office of Education); Patricia Fera (Will County Workforce Investment Board); Michael D. Hennessy (United Way of Will County); Dave McClintock (Three Rivers Association of Realtors); Tom White (Will & Grundy Counties Building Trades Council); Congressman Jerry Weller (United States House of Representatives); and Village of Channahon Mayor Joe Cook (President, Will County Governmental League). Advisory board members newly elected are Steve Rockwell (2008 Chairman, Will Economic Network Steering Committee); Curt Lawson (2008 Chairman, Transportation & Logistics Council); Dave Weber (2008 Chairman, Diplomats Committee); Ken Plante (2008 Chairman, Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce & Industry); and John Quinn (2008 Chairman, City Center Partnership).
