David began his career in Transportation while in college, working in operations for Texas LTL/FTL carrier Central Freight Lines and then moved to “K”Line where he held senior management positions, including VP Sales & Marketing for the carrier’s liner division.  He has also worked for Serv Pak International, and was later recruited by Hyundai Merchant Marine as they expanded their US operations in the Transpacific Trade.  David ascended to VP Sales & Marketing, for liner & logistics interests with P&O Nedlloyd.  Now at UPS, he has worked for the past 5 + years, holding positions in business development and most recently responsible for Global Procurement and management of Global Trades for the UPS Ocean Product.
 

Bob Bach

Bob is senior vice president and chief economist of Grubb & Ellis and brings to this position 35 years of experience in real estate market research, consulting and city planning. A member of the Conference of Business Economists and the Counselors of Real Estate, he authors the company’s national market publications, is a frequent speaker at industry events and is quoted widely in the trade and business press, including The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Bloomberg and a wide array of investment and real estate publications. He works with the company’s researchers in more than 100 markets to insure that Grubb & Ellis proprietary data is accurate and the analysis provided to clients is useful and insightful.
 
Neil P. Doyle

Neil is responsible for the sourcing, underwriting, marketing and construction of all infrastructure / transportation related projects including all intermodal, inland port and maritime port developments. Mr. Doyle oversaw the development of the firm’s flagship project, CenterPoint Intermodal Center Joliet/Elwood, a $3 billion integrated logistics park and redevelopment of the U.S. Army's former Joliet Arsenal Facility. The 6,000 acre development, home to BNSF Logistics Park Chicago, will eventually feature multiple intermodal centers capable of serving multiple Class I Railroads, 30+ million SF of distribution/warehouse facilities and will represent one of the largest public/private partnership developments in the U.S.
 

Tim Feemster

Over 35 years of experience have provided Tim Feemster with a variety of hands-on problem solving situations in logistics, distribution, and marketing.  Before joining Grubb & Ellis Company, Feemster was a senior manager in three manufacturing companies, a general manager, a consultant, and an executive in two third-party logistics providers.  His responsibilities have included warehouse layout and design, logistics systems development, warehouse network analysis, strategic planning, quality management and private fleet management in the US and internationally.
 
 
Kevin Fletcher

Kevin's focus at Landstar Global Logistics is in the development, implementation, and on-going improvements of logistics solutions that deliver greater supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness to Landstar’s customer base.  Kevin is responsible for third party transportation operations including truck, intermodal, domestic and international air as well as ocean.  He is also responsible for Landstar’s warehousing services, supply chain solutions team, and the business unit’s technology services.
 

Jennifer Hooper

Jennifer Hooper is Business Development Manager for UTi Integrated Logistics. As a member of UTi’s business and solutions development team Jennifer is responsible for assisting clients in identifying and implementing supply chain solutions in the areas of warehousing and distribution. In addition, Jennifer collaborates with UTi’s global team to provide clients with integrated service solutions to include transportation management, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and consulting.

Lee is a senior transportation executive for AECOM Transportation in Chicago with expertise in freight transport, urban planning and environmental management.  His area of practice centers on transportation operating and investment decisions which result in an increased asset value and utilization.

AECOM was selected by the Will County Center for Economic Development  to provide an analysis of the community and economic development benefits and impacts of Will County’s emergence as a global inland port. 
 
Jack Lavin

Jack Lavin was appointed by Governor Quinn as Illinois’ Chief Operating Officer in February of 2009. As Chief Operating Officer, Lavin is responsible for directing the Federal stimulus program for Illinois while assisting in the management of the Governor’s office.

Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer, Lavin served as the Director of the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity from 2003 to 2009. During this time, he has led the transformation of the agency into an organization geared to meet the challenges of the 21st Century economy. Lavin has twenty-three years of public and private sector experience and a record of job creation and financial management in both the business world and in Illinois state government.
 

Brian G. McDonald

As VP Intermodal, Brian is responsible for the commercial aspects of UP’s Domestic and International Intermodal business.  He graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science, and Utah State with a Masters Degree in Agricultural Economics.  He has also held positions as a grain and Trade Manager of barge and rail operations and General Manager of a feed manufacturing plant and grain elevator.

Adam is a Vice President with the Industrial Services Group at NAI Hiffman. Adam specializes in industrial real estate including land assemblage and development, building sales and tenant representation. Additionally, as a Director of NAI Global Logistics, Adam’s focus is providing real estate and supply chain solutions to distribution and warehouse companies throughout the world on matters including corporate relocation, site search analysis, build-to-suit alternatives, acquisition, disposition and leasing services.
 

Noah Shlaes

Shlaes leads the Strategic Consulting practice at Grubb & Ellis.  His 28 years in real estate span a diverse client base that includes Railroads, governments, financial institutions, manufacturers, and universities.  He is a member of the Counselors of Real Estate, and a fellow of the Homer Hoyt Institute.
