The Information We Collect

How We Use Information
We use the information you provide about yourself when enrolling as an Investor or when making a reservation for an event, only to complete that process. We do not sell, transfer, or otherwise share this information with outside parties except only to the extent necessary to complete the process.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive, to send confirmations of reservations, and for opt-in alerts, tips, or newsletters, etc.. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
You may voluntarily register on our website if you would like to receive notifications of events or other announcements of interest, or other such services that we make available. We do not sell, transfer, or otherwise share this information with outside parties except only to the extent necessary to fulfill a request. The CED / WCCoC reserves the right to notify registered users via e-mail, to the e-mail address of record, in regards to important issues relating to our programs, services, and other offerings. You have the right at any time to elect to not receive e-mails from the CED / WCCoC by "opting-out", or to update or change your preferences, and simple instructions and/or a link for doing so is provided in the communication and other general communications. If you opt-out of receiving future communications from the CED / WCCoC, you will be permanently removed from the distribution list.
We may collect and use non-personally identifying and aggregate information for the purpose of improving the design of our website or to track sources of new visitors who may visit our site by accessing a link from a third party website. For example, we may identify that X number of individuals visited a certain area of our website.
Finally, we do not use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the means described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses. The CED / WCCoC may provide your personal information if necessary when, in the CED / WCCoC’s good faith judgment, such disclosure is required to comply with laws or regulations of a governmental or regulatory body or in response to a valid subpoena, warrant, or order or to protect the rights of the CED / WCCoC or other parties.
Use of Temporary Cookies
When a subscriber logs into the CED / WCCoC site, we store a temporary 'cookie' in the browser files of that subscriber's computer. This cookie is used during your online session to allow you free access to the Members Area, without repeatedly requiring you to re-enter your user name and password each time you visit a new section or open a Members-Only article or resource. When you log off or leave the site, the cookies file is automatically removed.

In order to provide CED / WCCoC visitors and subscribers with greater value, many of our pages provide convenient links to various third party websites, such as government agencies, partner agencies, and others. Keep in mind that many sites do attempt to capture visitor information when you browse those sites. The CED / WCCoC has no control over the activities of these sites, and once you leave our site, we are not able to alert you should another site attempt to gather information from your browser. You should carefully review the privacy policy of such third party websites before using the sites, as it may vary significantly from the policy of this site.
Help Centers, Forums, and Message Boards
We may provide our subscribers with multi-tiered Discussion Forums that make sharing information with other subscribers easy. To protect your privacy when posting or replying to messages in any message board, your personal information and email is not revealed. However, remember that any information that you disclose in the message board areas can be read by all other subscribers, so you should always exercise caution and never disclose personal information.
